Providing Fantastic Service

Hi, I just wanted to send you some feedback regarding Jeanette from the Cheltenham DFO store.

I've been dealing with Jeanette (mainly over the phone) in regards to a purchase of some chairs that I recently made.

She has always been exceptionally helpful and pleasant to deal with. I've had a few issues regarding pick-up of the items, and she has been extremely helpful in resolving this problem. Her follow-up has been excellent.

It's a welcome change to deal with somebody who genuinely cares about providing fantastic service - well done!

Refreshing, Professional & Commendable

Hi, its not often you walk into a store and are looked after the way I was today when looking for some new furniture at Villa & Hut Jam Factory, South Yarra.

Having been to other furniture stores throughout the day, the service provided by Todd was refreshing, professional and commendable. His advice and ideas enabled me to get exactly what I was looking for.

Todd is an asset to your South Yarra store and I'll be back in 2008 to purchase some items for my home.

High Level of Service

Hi, I purchased a couple of pieces of furniture today. Luke was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He went out of his way to provide an amazing level of service.
I am the State Customer Service Learning Facilitator for Medicare Australia, and prior to that the Induction Trainer for Medibank Private, and I have not come across such a high level of service in my retail expeditions in a very long time, probably more than 10 years!
He is a credit to himself, your company and it was fantastic to have dealt with him.

Wow! What a Great Store

Hi, My name is Sarah and I thought I would drop you guys a note to say 'Wow! - What a great store'. I have been looking to buy furniture for months & months from a truly ethical business - and finally a friend of mine recommended Villa & Hut. I went to your new Casey store and was blown away with the passion of your staff about the ethics behind your brand, and your fair trade philosophy. Your manager Greg was fantastic also, and your store is the best furniture store that I have seen. Glad to see a business making a difference and not just talking about it!

Exceptional Service

Hi, I just wanted to pass on thanks to Rebecca at your DFO outlet at Essendon airport. As someone involved in retail management, I appreciate it when someone exceeds my expectations. Not only was Rebecaa an excellent sales person (I'm sure I could have got it cheaper if I'd tried but she was just so good) but her whole service throughout was exceptional right up to the follow up call to make sure we were happy with our furniture - and yes we are delighted with our purchases. Anyway, please pass on my thanks & its a pleasure to be served in such a rewarding & intelligent way!

The Perfect Babycino

Last Wednesday afternoon we were at the Spencer Street DFO store, and visited the Villa & Hut Store. Our friend's 5 year old daughter Matilda enjoyed a cappuccino just like her mother's. It was the perfect babycino - so much time and effort was put into this even if it was just for a child. It was well appreciated by someone who was on her way into one of her many visits to the Royal Children's Hospital.

Keen to Start Shopping

Earlier this year I moved house from Melbourne to Sydney and was very disappointed to find out that you don't have any stores in Sydney - I am desperate to furnish my house and no other store will do - what on earth am I going to do???

Thankfully, I did notice on your website that you are planning to open a store in Sydney sometime in 2007. Would you be able to be more specific as to when? I am really keen to start shopping but am prepared to wait for you to open (as long as it is not too far away).

Wonderful Service & Staff

I wanted to pass on my thanks for the wonderful service I received at the Cheltenham Villa and Hut DFO shop on the weekend 11th June.

I first made phone contact and I think, it was Anna who answered the phone and she was wonderful, measuring and describing items that she thought I might be interested in. Then when I got there Donna assisted myself and my partner and again was terrific. We ended up purchasing one item at this shop and another at DFO in Spencer Street. Spending close to $800 on the weekend.

Honesty, Genuine and Caring Initiative

I just can't let the actions of one of your employees go unmentioned. On Wednesday I popped into your store looking for a table runner and napkin set as suggested by your DFO Essendon store who did not stock the item and recommended your store.

Sonia was most helpful with my enquiry and offerred to email all of your stores in an attempt to locate what i was looking for. I left my email address with her and must have left my purse on the counter when recording my details in the book. Some 30 minutes later I realized my purse was missing and in an absolute panic was racing back to your store in the hope that it was there when Sonia called me on my mobile to let me know that I had left it there.

It really impressed me that not only did Sonia show such honesty in keeping the purse safe for me but she also went to the trouble of looking up my employers phone number and ringing my work in order to let me know, and obtain my mobile number.

Luckily I had left my work email address, so Sonia took the iniative to contact me via this avenue. I cannot thank her enough and just thought that perhaps a little note to you may in some way help to reward her for her honesty and genuine caring initiative.

Exceptional Customer Service

Dear Franz,

I am just writing to tell you about the exceptional customer service we received from Vanessa at your Brisbane DFO store. We firstly bought some furniture a month ago and she was extremely helpful and courteous and came across as really enjoying her work and having a great enthuasium for the product. We appreciated that she explained the story behind the company and it's products.

This week, we dealt with Vanessa again, when we rang up from Toowoomba enquiring about more furniture we'd like to buy. She was really helpful and accommodating. She even sent us photos from her own mobile phone as it's a couple of hours for us to travel to the store. From these photos we came down and bought the products as soon as we could. As we'd come down with transportation for the products she took us to the warehouse so we could take the dining set with us that day.

These days its so rare to get great customer service and someone who obviously enjoys their work and appreciates the product they are selling. We hope that you appreciate Vanessa and realize what a asset she is to your business as because of our experience we will continue to buy products from Villa and Hut and recommend it to our friends.

We also love your products and appreciate that it's recycled timber and not logged and that the products are paid directly to local SE Asian communities.

Helpful, Enthusiastic, Genuine Sales People

My partner and I recently purchased a new home and had been looking for a new dining table & chairs for the last 2 months. We had been everywhere!

Then my partners sister suggested we check out Villa & Hut Moorabbin (DFO). We went down to check it out! We were helped by a fantastic man called Donald (The Glen Manager). He was by far the most helpful, enthusiastic, genuine sales person we came across. Nothing was to much trouble and he gave us a fantastic deal on our new dining table. He is an asset to your company and we will definately be back see Donald to purchase more furniture in the future.

A Great Mocca and Toastie

I was in your Essendon Airport Store at the DFO last Sunday and had a great mocca and toasted sandwich for breakfast and fell inlove with your furniture while I was there.

I have just received your newsletter about the sale. I realise that you would have heaps of stock on sale but was wondering if your tv cabinets, book shelves and storage buffets (which have rattan baskets in them) are in this particular sale. I live in between Albury and Wagga which is 4 hours drive to your store and am keen to purchase the above mentioned items.

I have never experience such amazing service

It is with much pleasure that I write this letter. I visited your Villa & Hut store at the Glen on Saturday the 24th June and was approached by Damian. I can honestly say that in all my shopping history (I shop a lot) I have never experienced such amazing service.

From the moment we stepped into Villa & Hut, Damian took care of us. He took the time to explain the types of pieces he had and demonstrated a wonderful knowledge of the wood. He negotiated a fantastic price for us, and a dining table, 6 chairs and a coffee table later we were more than content with our purchase.

We requested an early morning pick up on Sunday and Damian efficiently organised to have a team member available. We were also impressed by not only Damian’s approach but also by the help and care his team provided us.

I cannot express how impressed both my partner and myself are by our Villa & Hut experience. I can assure you that we will be visiting again soon. I have already spread the word to family and friends and hope they too will have the opportunity to experience such wonderful service.

Helpful & Courteous Staff, and Impressive Delivery

Dear Villa & Hut,

I would like to convey my sincere compliments to your staff for the level of service I received during a recent set of purchases.

Last weekend (13th & 14th May 2006) I spent $2700 on furniture & homewares at your Southland and Jam Factory stores, including a low-line teak tv-buffet, mahogany bookshelf, a set of three triangular nest of teak coffee tables, a airbrush-on-canvas painting, and a few other items. I was also delighted to find the bookshelf and coffee tables were 50% discounted, which helped clinch the deal for an overall look I was trying to achieve.

My purchases were made at your Southlands & Jam Factory stores, and on Sunday Donna at Southlands in particular was friendly, courteous and helpful throughout the process. The buffet and bookshelf had to be delivered, each from the two different stores. Your warehouse staff called me on Monday to confirm the delivery at my preferred time later in the week, and they were already aware that the two items had to come from different stores - quite impressive! (companies far larger seem to stumble upon such minor complications!)

My living room has taken on a whole new feel, and I look forward to many years of enjoyment from it. I look forward to shopping in your stores again.

Fantastic Coffee and Great Bargains too

I was so impressed when I walked into the Villa & Hut store at the Glen, in Melbourne. The staff were so friendly and willing to help. I enjoyed a fantastic coffee and came away with some great bargains too. I have been back to the store another two times this week, to allow my mother and husband to see what I have been raving about. We bought a piece of furniture and are very happy - thank you! I'll be back VERY soon.

Re: Asian Earthquake Collection

I'm very happy and proud that villa & hut are playing a part in assisting with the Asian Earthquake Collection. As most of you know my background is Sri Lankan and I was there this time last year, the country and it's people touch my heart deeply. It is horrible to see them face such tragedy knowing they do not have the resources and know how to build their lives as we do. Beautiful Store & Pleasant Staff

I am writing to say what a pleasure it was to purchase a cabinet at Southland in August.

Odette and Sasha assisted me, as I made several visits before making my decision on a particular cabinet. I was impressed with their friendliness and helpfulness.

Sasha was particularly patient when I visited a second and third time. They showed enthusiasm for the product and understanding of my need to make sure the piece I selected was right for the purpose I had in mind.

It is a beautiful store and I always visit when I go to Southland. It is so satisfying to look at beautiful and unusual furniture. It is an even better experience to be served by extremely pleasant staff.

Wonderful Experience

After visiting your store over the weekend I wanted you to know about my wonderful experience with your company.

I have often walked away from places feeling like I had received good service and I that I really should write a letter to let them know (but never do) but this time around I wanted to write. The quality and detail received was simply the best service I have ever received in my life!

We must have procrastinated for 45 minutes over the purchases and I found the level of attention from the staff was a perfect balance between providing assistance but never making us feel pressured. Both staff were friendly, knowledgeable about the product, and had a level of professionalism you just don't see anywhere.

Friendly & Helpful Staff

I am writing in regards to our recent experiences in your retail store at 'The Glen' shopping centre in Glen Waverley, Victoria.

We have purchased products from your stores on previous occasions. My wife and myself were browsing through your merchandise and were greeted and assisted by your store representative 'Adam' (I have assumed his name from you website photos). Initially we purchased only a few minor items. Over the following weeks we purchased a few more items. Our total purchases probably totalled only $65.00.

Even though our purchases were of minimal dollar value, it was during this time we found your store representative 'Adam' to be extremely friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and willing to please. His sales attitude was never abrupt or short and his demeanour was always pleasant and professional. His pleasant approach and personality made the sale a pleasure and secured any repeat business.

Service with WOW factor!

Today, I was pleasantly surprised by the service from the Villa and Hut food stand 3rd floor Westfield Southland outside Myer.

I am a regular coffee addict and went for my daily dose. The usual banter ensued with the staff. Being distracted by my two children, I walked off and left $9 on the table. Being a Mum on maternity leave, money is not something I readily throw away, so I went back, somewhat dejectedly, knowing there was little chance of finding it. I spoke to the two guys at the stand, and told them. They said they'd found it, and returned it to me.

Have you ever heard of such honesty in 2004? I am a customer for life, and will be telling all of my friends about the honesty displayed. I rang Westfield Centre Management, but it seems they only deal in the negative, not the positive! They were unable to pass on my thanks....

So, to the youngish Manager whose wit always makes me smile, and to his many assistants, a customer for life says thank-you!

they deserve a pat on the back!
